In March 2024, Scott Maynard & The Rumour Mill took the stage at the Old Fire Hall in Whitehorse as part of Jazz Yukon’s “Jazz in the Hall” music series. Describing his music as “aspirational” and incorporating a mix of introspective, and cheeky elements, Scott presented a collection of songs from various points in his career, including some brand new material.
Scott on vocals, keyboard and guitar, is accompanied by his talented ensemble featuring Lonnie Powell on drums, Dave Haddock on bass, Keitha Clark on violin, Andrea McColman on percussion, and Sam Gallagher on lap steel guitar. Plus special guest poet Peter Jickling.
